Connect customer part numbers to your catalogue.

Poppelo uses customer-specific SKU vocabulary and catalogue cross-references to interpret what a buyer ordered. Ambiguous product matches remain a review decision.

The same item can have more than one name

A buyer may send a house part number while your catalogue uses an internal SKU. Customer context and cross-references help connect those terms. Matching should remain scoped to the customer so that a familiar code from another buyer does not silently become the answer.

Corrections become reusable evidence

Saved human corrections contribute to the customer golden dataset and profile. Repeated correction patterns can produce proposed mapping rules for a person to activate. That approval step matters: one unusual substitution should not become a rule for every future order.

Keep catalogue ambiguity visible

Missing products, conflicting aliases, inactive records, and uncertain unit or pack-size interpretations require attention. Reference-data quality limits what matching can resolve. Connecting a second QuickBooks company under one account can degrade matching because resolution reads across account reference data; assess that arrangement before relying on automatic matching.

Questions about this workflow

Does a saved correction activate a rule automatically?

No. Corrections provide evidence and repeated patterns can propose a mapping rule, but a person activates the rule.
