Create Shopify draft orders from customer POs.
Poppelo includes a Shopify OAuth connector for approved customer purchase orders as draft orders. Storefront routing is implemented but depends on verified rollout and plan entitlements.
Connect and select the storefront
An administrator authorizes the Shopify store. Routing to one storefront among multiple connected stores is implemented, with storefront and routing-rule plan limits. Fan-out writes the same order to a storefront plus an accounting destination and requires an additional plan entitlement. These workflows depend on rollout: production integration startup requires DESTINATIONS_V2_CLAIMS=true, and deployment flags remain unverified. Confirm enablement, the intended store, product references, and destination acceptance before processing customer documents.
Review before creating the draft order
Poppelo extracts the customer PO, resolves product references, and surfaces uncertain fields for review. Approved records are delivered as Shopify draft orders. Draft-order creation should be distinguished from payment collection or fulfillment; your storefront process determines those later steps.
Prevent duplicate downstream records
If Shopify already syncs orders to QuickBooks, establish which system owns the downstream write before also routing the same order directly to QuickBooks. Uncertain connector writes retain their delivery claims; an operator should reconcile evidence rather than submit a blind retry. Separate retries require confirmed absence evidence for the same attempt. This is not a guarantee against duplication by third-party sync tools.
Confirm the supported commercial fields
The Shopify connector implementation exists, but actual provider acceptance and certified financial mappings remain open in the capability ledger. Unsupported currency, discount, charge, or revision handling must be assessed before rollout and may require manual work.
Questions about this workflow
Should I send an order to both Shopify and QuickBooks?
First check whether Shopify already syncs that order to QuickBooks. Direct fan-out requires verified rollout and an additional plan entitlement. Confirm the intended write path with Poppelo so separate integrations do not create duplicate downstream records.
